CUSTOMS and clearing company, Fr8Zone Logistics’ uncontested understanding of the importance of health and wellness is undoubtedly underlined by their flagship community responsibility project – Santa Queens!
A Manicaland Netball Division One League affiliate that is wholly owned and bankrolled by Fr8Zone Logistics, Santa Queens started as a pastime activity for ladies in Magute Village in the peri-urban St Augustine’s area of Mutare soon after the relaxation of the Covid-19 lockdown regulations.
The club morphed into a netball powerhouse, setting the pace in Manicaland Region Division One.
It has become a formidable force in their league, thanks to the sponsorship they are receiving from Fr8Zone Logistics – a Chiwambutsa family business.
The Santa Queens project started in 2021.
Fr8Zone Logistics director, Mrs Jeansally Chiwambunza, an active player within the Santa Queens rank and file, attests her passion for healthy lifestyles through sport and netball in particular.
“As Fr8Zone Logistics, we are a clearing and customs entity that values the importance of health and wellness, no wonder we did not think twice about partnering such a noble initiative.
“Issues relating to health, wellness and social development run in our DNA and that is why we are bankrolling a Manicaland Division One League club, Santa Queens.
“It is our belief and conviction that the importance of healthy lifestyles in the age of non-communicable diseases such as blood pressure and diabetes is of paramount importance. We certainly look forward to play our role, in any way we can, to promote healthy lifestyles among adults, especially the disadvantaged female population.”
