Sarah Dee readies 7th album launch

Songstress Sarah Dee, born Sarah Dhliwayo, is preparing to launch her seventh album titled My Roots on May 29 at a restaurant in Harare.

The album features 10 tracks, including I Am Done, Masijabule, Pindirayi Ishe, Moyo Wangu, Masibambaneni, Ngatidanane, Africa Unite, Rise and Shine, Divas in Action, and Shinga Chete. As a special treat for fans, the album will also include a bonus track, Dzimu Zarura.

This release follows her previous albums, Sokalami, Question Mark, Ndichakuda, Hamusati Maona, Chagurika, and She Warrior.

Sarah Dee said: “My Roots is about reflecting on where I come from, the experiences that shaped me, and how they’ve contributed to who I am today. The music itself blends Mbaqanga, Jazz, slow Afropop jams, and contemporary traditional jazz.” – Follow on X – @mthabisi_mthire
