SA’s fitness icon, King of squats to grace Supermed Health Expo

Preparations are well underway for the third edition of the Supermed Health Expo, envisioned by Supermed Pharmacy as both a health-focused and family-friendly entertainment event.

This year’s expo is scheduled to kick off at 8am on Saturday at its new location – the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre (ZIEC) grounds in Bulawayo, moving from its traditional venue at Busters Sport Club.

The event promises a day filled with diverse activities, including Zumba, aerobics and other health-oriented sessions aimed at promoting wellness among attendees. Among those who will be leading the exercises will be the popular fitness trainer Nkululeko Zane Dlamini, known as the king of squats, hailing from South Africa.

Entertainment will not be in short supply, with performances from popular DJs – Nospa, Mzoe and Eugy, along with live music from the Travellers Band.

Supermed executive assistant, Brightness Tekere, highlighted the focus of this year’s expo: “Our theme this year is ‘mental health awareness.’ We are proud to feature the king of squats from South Africa, alongside supporting local fitness instructors from various gyms including Barberton and Beast Bae.”
