Tonight it will hold an official opening party, under a new name “New Savanna”.
In an interview yesterday, spokesman of the nightspot, Mike Keogh, said the relocation was to accommodate plans by owners of their previous premises to expand their business.
He said contrary to rumours that have been circling in some quarters that relations had been sour with other tenants, they had a good working relationship with them.
“We did not have any problem with the owners or the other tenants. No one raised any problems when we had our monthly meetings. I believe we did not have any problems with other business,” said Keogh.
He said a Savanna Cider Promotion would be held at the official opening event and there would be prizes for best-dressed ladies during the night.
Keogh said a pole-dancing competition was also part of the acts to celebrate their opening.
“We shall be giving away T-shirts and other prizes for the best-dressed lady and there would be a pole-dancing competition,” he said.
Keogh said tomorrow, eight DJs would battle it out in a competition where the crowd would choose who will walk away with a $500 first prize.
