Hillside Golf Club in Mutare is abuzz with energy this morning as delegates and visitors from the inaugural Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo in Manicaland gather to relax and reflect.
The lush greens of the club provide a serene backdrop for networking and celebration following a landmark showcase of Zimbabwe’s tourism potential.
It’s a moment of reflection on a landmark event that showcased Zimbabwe’s untapped tourism potential.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry deputy Minister Tongai Mnangagwa, representing Minister Barbara Rwodzi alongside tourism sector leaders are in attendance.
Deputy Minister Mnangagwa did the ceremonial tee-off.
Among the players are five young golfers.
The festivities will later shift to the banks of the Save River, where the Save Beach Bash Tourism Jamboree promises a thrilling blend of sport, music, and cultural heritage.
Set beneath the majestic Birchenough Bridge, a historic steel arch structure that has stood as a symbol of engineering prowess and national pride since 1935, the jamboree is poised to captivate both locals and international guests.
The Save Beach Bash will feature an exciting array of sporting events including beach volleyball, beach rugby, and tug of war.
These activities are designed to foster community engagement while showcasing the recreational potential of Zimbabwe’s natural landscapes.
As twilight descends over the Save River, the jamboree will transform into a vibrant musical celebration.
A star-studded lineup of performers including Fungisai, Vee Mampeezy, Mark Ngwazi, Dorcas Moyo, Andy Muridzo, Killer T, Jah Signal, Clement Magwaza and others will deliver a dynamic fusion of sounds that reflect Zimbabwe’s rich cultural tapestry and contemporary rhythms.
The party is expected to go well in to the early hours of Sunday.
By harnessing the scenic beauty of the Save River and the historical gravitas of Birchenough Bridge, the Save Beach Bash aims to elevate Zimbabwe’s tourism profile, stimulate local economies, and reinforce the nation’s commitment to sustainable tourism development.
Organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry in partnership with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), the jamboree forms part of the broader.
Sanganai/Hlanganani/Kumbanayi Expo now firmly established as Africa’s premier tourism marketplace.
The event not only celebrates Zimbabwe’s scenic and cultural assets but also signals a bold step toward diversifying the country’s tourism offerings.
With its seamless blend of sport, music, and heritage, the Save Beach Bash Tourism Jamboree is set to become a cornerstone of Zimbabwe’s tourism calendar a vibrant testament to the nation’s spirit, creativity and hospitality.
