He was not asked to plead to the charge when he appeared before Ms Gwineth Drawo who remanded him out of custody to December 18 on US$50 bail.
As part of the bail conditions, Mbedzi was ordered to reside at his given address until the matter was finalised and to report at Beitbridge main police station twice a week.
It is the State case that Mbedzi invited the girl to his office and proposed love.
The girl allegedly accepted the proposal and on several occasions Mbedzi would invite her to his office where he molested her.
On June 8 at around 8pm, Mbedzi visited the girl’s home at Malusungane village.
He asked the girl to accompany him back to his home and along the way he lured her into a bush where they became intimate.
Mbedzi told the girl not to report the incident to anyone. But the case came to light on Wednesday last week during a police anti-sexual abuse campaign at the school following a tip-off.
Mbedzi becomes the second staffer from the school to be dragged to court on similar charges after a teacher, Forget Mbedzi, appeared in the same court recently.
They are both accused of abusing Form 2 pupils aged between 14 and 15 at the school.
Forget has since been remanded in custody to December 6.
