School robbed of US$41 000

 

1am after the robbers pounced on two security guards and tied their hands with wires.

Police confirmed the incident saying investigations were still under way

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tadius Chibanada said the two jumped over a security wall and confronted the two guards.

They later broke the reception door and proceeded to the bursar’s office where they found safe keys on a chair. The two robbers then opened the safe and got away with the school fees money. A report was made to Highlands Police Station.

“Investigations have since commenced and the bursar and two security guards have been taken for questioning and are assisting us with investigations,” Insp Chibanda said.
