Scores of people from Beitbridge have gathered at Pagomba Cafe in Beitbridge for the official launch of the district anti-drugs and substance abuse campaign.

The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Albert Nguluvhe, is expected to lead the event.

The programme will also coincide with celebrations being held in honour of the minister by the Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe (ACCZ).

According to Minister Nguluvhe, the launch of the campaign follows the provincial launch held in Gwanda recently.

He said the campaign is being cascaded to district level.

Minister Nguluvhe said, among other things, that the Government has started working on establishing drug rehabilitation facilities in every district.

He said that so far, they have identified a place in Gwanda which will house the provincial drug rehabilitation facility.

The structure, he said, needs to be customised to fit the purpose.
