Scotch-cart injury, Bindura man in a critical condition

A Bindura man is battling for his life at Bindura Hospital after a Toyota Allion rammed into an ox-drawn scotch cart he was driving.Two cows died at the spot while the driver of the Toyota Allion disappeared from the accident scene.

The accident happened at around 3 am on Saturday.

Farai Kawamapere was driving his scotch cart towards Bindura when the driver of the Toyota Allion who was going towards Manhenga encroached in his lane.

The vehicle had one passenger.
Provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Milton Mundembe said the accident occurred along the Bindura-Domboshava Road.

He said the driver of the Toyota Allion failed to negotiate a curve and encroached into the lane of oncoming cars, before ramming into the scotch cart.
Kawamapere is in a critical condition.
