President to grace ICASA

President Mnangagwa and his Mozambican counterpart Filipe Nyusi are expected to grace the opening ceremony of the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) that is taking place at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), this evening.

The ICASA 2023 which starts today and ends on Saturday has brought together key stakeholders from across the African continent and beyond to share experiences and achievements of the remarkable progress made in reducing new HIV infections and increasing access to treatment.

The ICASA is a major and only bilingual international AIDS conference which takes place in Africa.

Owing to the numerous interventions, Zimbabwe has made significant progress in achieving set objectives towards ending AIDS, becoming one of five countries that have achieved the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets before the targeted 2025.
