Scott Vincent to lead tech team

TOP Zimbabwean amateur Scott Vincent will play in first position for The Virginia Tech men’s golf team in the Bridgestone Invitational at Greensboro, North Carolina, in the United States today.
The event will be played at the par 72, 7,245-yard Grandover Resort golf course. Vincent, winner of three of his first four events of the season, enters the tournament ranked second nationally by Golfstat.com and sixth nationally by Golfweek/Sagarin. The ACC Player of the Month for September, Vincent won the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate two weeks ago. He enters the weekend with a 68.92 stroke average, including a 68.00 in “Crunch Time”, signifying the final round of tournaments. Vincent will be supported by Bryce Chalkley.
