Zifa to get tough on player agencies

ZIFA will get tough on unregistered football player agents whom they say are masquerading as managers.
Xolisani Gwasela, the Zifa communications manager, said they met with the registered agents in Harare yesterday.
“We have people who pretend as player agents yet they are not registered,” Gwasela said.
“A player agent should be registered and should be licensed. We are calling on all those who are registered to come up so that we can update our records and that will also help us determine if they are complying with regulations. A player agent should be able to cover insurance for the safety of the player and in most cases players end up being losers because of bogus agents.”
