Scottland players showered with US$100 000

SCOTTLAND players were showered with a US$100 000 bonus by club benefactor Wicknell Chivayo following their 1-0 win over Eswatini side Nsingizini Hotspurs in a CAF Champions League Preliminary Round first leg match at the National Sports Stadium.

Chivayo joined the players on the pitch to celebrate the victory at the end of the match, thanks to a solitary strike by Cameroonian Neville Tengeg in the 66th minute.

Scottland will take the slender lead to Eswatini for the return leg set for this Saturday at the Somhlolo National Stadium. Scottland are taking part in Africa’s premier club competition for the first time after winning the Castle Lager Premiership in their debut season last year.
