SCOTTLAND conceded three goals in a single match for the first time in the 3-2 loss to Dynamos at Rufaro on Saturday.
Previously, the club had conceded only two goals twice, their 2-2 draw with GreenFuel and 5-2 win over FC Platinum. Since the start of the season, Scottland have lost five games, with the other four previous ones on a similar 1-0 scoreline. This was against Ngezi Platinum, MWOS, TelOne and CAPS United.
“You have to give credit to Dynamos. We knew their fans would give them a massive boost, they always do, and that energy was a decisive factor today,” said Ndiraya.
DeMbare, who are now on a four league winning streak, are masterminding what can be regarded as one of the greatest relegation survival stories. The last time Tonderai Ndiraya conceded three goals as a coach was on October 18 in 2023 when he was still with Simba Bhora against another traditional giant CAPS United.
“I think we must give it to both sets of supporters for coming in their numbers and rallying behind their team.
“The players also came to the party and delivered an exciting match. It’s great to see such a huge crowd, and it’s a testament to the impact that Scottland have had in this league,” said Ndiraya.
Ndiraya praised the league management and the clubs for their efforts in marketing the fixture.
“It’s quite remarkable to see such a huge crowd, and it’s a credit to the teams and the supporters.
“It was a great environment, and we would wish for every game to have such a huge crowd. It’s a great day for football, and we’re thrilled to see such enthusiasm from the fans,” said Ndiraya. Meanwhile, Tymon Machope has been called up for the Warriors to replace Jonah Fabisch.
