Sean Fusire waves goodbye to Carlisle after rocky spell

HE came, he sat, he started . . . then he left!
Zimbabwean midfield star Sean Fusire has officially wrapped up his loan stint at Carlisle United and is heading back to Sheffield Wednesday — but not without some scars from a tough League Two campaign.

The 20-year-old talent spent most of the season warming the bench and was even axed from matchday squads, raising eyebrows about his form and fitness.

But just when fans were ready to write him off, Fusire turned things around — starting 6 of Carlisle’s final 9 games and showing flashes of the promise that made him one to watch.

Posting a heartfelt message on Instagram, Fusire said: “Great people, great city, and a great club. It hurts not to have reached our goal, but I’m so grateful for my time here. God is so good. Thank you for all the support, and all the best for the future.”
Now it’s back to Wednesday — but will he rise or ride the pine again? Watch this space!
