Progress to date

• Engineer’s site establishment is at 90 percent 

• Contractor`s site establishment is at 95 percent 

• Clearing and stripping on the main dam core trench is at 90 percent 

• Excavations on the inlet and outlet section is at 70 percent 

• Opening of borrow areas (clearing and stripping) is at 6 percent 

• Construction of coffer dam is at 85 percent 

• Drilling and blasting for the cut-off (main dam) is at 75 percent  

Overall Progress: 38 percent 

Scope of works

• Construction of a conventional earth-fill dam with a height of 44 metres

• Three saddle dams

• 150-metre long spillway

• Bulk water treatment works and pipeline
