A SECURITY guard collapsed and died while on night duty guarding a firm at Bulawayoa��s Exchange Building in the citya��s Central Business District on Monday.
Marvellous Ncube (50) an employee of Quedec Security Company was found dead by another security guard who had come to exchange shifts with him at 6AM.
Sources said prior to his death, Ncube had reported for duty complaining about bodily pains.
The companya��s manager Horace Ndubiwa said it was still not clear what caused his sudden death.
a�?We are also trying to understand what really happened leading to him collapsing and dying. He was found dead this morning by his colleague who had come to take over the shift,a�? said Ndubiwa.
a�?We quickly alerted the police who came to investigate and we will take it from there. We also dona��t have much information at the moment.a�?
B-Metro news visited the business premises at about 9am and found Ncubea��s lifeless body lying inside the corridor of the offices next to the security corner.
Police officers were conducting their investigations before they put his body on a metal coffin and took off.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango said they were treating the case as sudden death and no foul play was suspected. .
