Security guards, accused of stealing from SDA, get free bail

THREE Ultra Security guards got free bail when they appeared in court yesterday for allegedly stealing from the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church in Kopje.

Taurai Katanda, (47) Zvikomborero Masamha, (22) and Grawell Mhara were all remanded to December 22.

It is the State’s case that between October 29 and 30, the three connived to steal 23x50kg bags of PPC cement and 225x25kg bags of rhino-set from Kopje SDA Church.

The court heard that since they were the ones on duty at the church, no one else could have gone to steal in their presence.

However, the trio denied all the charges.
