Seed Co empowers women in agriculture

Sunday Mail Reporter

THE country’s biggest seed producer, Seed Co, has been commended for supporting women in agriculture.

Speaking after receiving a donation of seed from the company, founder of the Centre for African Women Advancement, Ms Rumbidzayi Caroline Kahara, said it is important to contribute to the country’s food security from a household level.

“The war in Ukraine made me realise the need for food security at a household and community level, therefore, it has become important for everyone to participate in food production at all levels. I would like to commend Seed Co for its role in supporting women in agriculture,” she said.
