But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (NKJV)
Seeking the Kingdom of God first is a process which many people are not willing to follow because it is everyone’s temptation to seek after present physical gratification. When you view things from a kingdom perspective, you are speaking of a king and his domain and subjects, meaning that every kingdom has its culture, its precepts and rules that govern it. The above scripture simply indicates the pathway to living the prosperous life that we all desire. It illustrates that, for you to get the end product, you have to go through the process of seeking the kingdom of God first and having a kingdom mindset.
God is creating capacity within you for Him to be able to add things into your life, without the things destroying you to an extent that you lose the kingdom. We live in a generation where people are more concerned about material things, anything that can satisfy their present or immediate needs, but not bearing in mind that there might be a tomorrow. It is easy for people to think about, and seek after what they presently need and forgetting to go through the process of seeking first the kingdom of God
If you want to correct someone effectively first correct yourself
Matthew 7:5
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (NKJV)
People want to see someone receiving breakthroughs in an area before they copy. A hypocrite is someone who goes to correct his wife about laziness when he himself is lazy. The foundation of correction is being an example. Strive to live a life of pure holiness that is unperturbed such that you are able to reproof the next person. Your own life is the best gospel that people can understand easily because it is something that people witness being worked out. (Philippians 2:12-16). Correction is best imparted than spoken of, what you say without practising usually does not have any weight either in the spirit or naturally.
