THE homeless man, who allegedly murdered five other homeless men in the Harare CBD was back in court yesterday where he confirmed his Extra-Curial statements.
Extra-Curial statements are the ones made outside court and are only admissible in court after they have been confirmed before a magistrate that they were made voluntarily.
Thandolwenkosi Ndlovu (20) appeared before Harare magistrate Ethel Rutendo Chichera before who the statements were confirmed.
The court heard that on August 28, Ndlovu struck Emmanuel Godfrey (25), who was sleeping on a pavement near corner George Silundika and Simon Muzenda Street with a concrete block on the head.
Godfrey died instantly and Ndlovu is said to have slit open his stomach and took out his entrails.
Godfrey’s body was found by a passerby the next morning and a police report was made.
On August 31, Ndlovu attacked his next unknown victim who was sleeping at corner Inez Terrace and Robert Mugabe Avenue and killed him using the same modus operandi, but didn’t dismember his body.
On September 3, Ndlovu allegedly murdered another unknown person sleeping along Nelson Mandela Avenue.
He allegedly smashed his head using a boulder, killing him instantly, and attempted to cut off his private parts.
The body was found the next morning.
