A man who once cheated on his wife became furious that she decided to slap him with a seven-year sex ban and left for good.

It all began in 2010 when the husband, Bekezela Mpofu ,of Banda Village in Lupane had an affair with a local shopkeeper Nobuhle Nkiwane. His wife of 17 years, Sipho Ncube discovered the affair and gave him a sex ban.

Whenever Mpofu initiated sex Ncube would get furious and beat him up.

One day after a beating his wife went to fetch water at a nearby well and he found time to escape from bondage.A� He left with all household property and eloped to Nkiwanea��s homestead.

When Ncube came back home she found him gone and heard that he had gone to stay with Nkiwane. She followed him there to give him another hiding.

However, this time around she face off with a Nkiwane and Mpofu tag team and lost.

She reported Mpofu for domestic violence and he has since appeared before Lupane resident magistrate Ndumo Masuku facing a physical abuse charge.

He poured his heart out in court.

a�?Your worship, my wife has been denying me sex for the past seven years and at times she beats me up accusing me of being a womaniser. That is why I decided enough was enough and left her to stay with a woman who offers me sex and Ia��m prepared to marry her,a�? he said.

Ncube said Mpofua��s promiscuity put her life in danger.

a�?This man has been subjecting me to emotional abuse. He usually spends days at his small house and when he comes home he demands unprotected sex. Due to that I refused to sleep with him and requested that we go for HIV testing.

But he bluntly refused,a�? she said.

Masuku remanded Mpofu out of custody to Tuesday next week for sentencing.
