It was the biggest humiliation in the history of one of football’s enduring rivalries as the Reds marched into Seventh Heaven.
Not since a rampant Germany thrashed Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in Belo Horizonte on July 8, 2014, has the world seen such a destruction in a major football match.
The Germans were 5-0 after just 29 minutes in that match.
It’s the same number of goals which CAPS United scored, in a 7-1 thrashing of Dynamos, in an Africa Day Trophy semi-final at Rufaro.
Back then, the Glamour Boys used to claim they had SEVEN million fans which translated to a goal for every million of their supporters.
Shacky Tauro scored four times while there were goals for Never Chiku, Gift M’pariwa and Anthony Kambani.
All the four scorers are now late.

l Mohamed Salah is now Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer in the Premier League, netting 129 times in 205 appearances in the competition.
