BEWARE of these sexual stimulants which have flooded the parallel market.
They could actually kill you if you take them.
That’s the powerful message from the Medical and Dental Private Practitioner Association of Zimbabwe founding president, Dr Johannes Marisa.
His warning follows an increase in the number of street vendors who have flooded the Harare Central Business District selling herbal sexual stimulants.
Dr Marisa told H-Metro these herbs have serious side effects due to unspecified doses, and this could result in chronic conditions.
“We have so many of these aphrodisiacs that are being sold on the streets,” he said.
“The side effects of these drugs are quite huge and some of them include possibilities of heart attacks, headaches and poor eyesight.
“The doses of these sexual stimulants are very dangerous as they don’t have fixed doses, and one can easily overdose themselves.
“This results in serious consequences that can be a threat to life as it is something that is not sanctioned.”
However, Natasha Muzondo, who sells these stimulants, said her herbs have no side effects.
She is the daughter of Shoorai Mugondachako, who was popularly known as Mbuya Mukwapura.
She was popular for her traditional herbs she claimed cured sexually transmitted diseases and also worked as sexual stimulants.
She died last year, and Muzondo took over from her.
“We sell traditional herbs for men.
“They are very good at bringing out the desired outcome and have no side effects like Congo dust.
“Normally these herbs are taken when one wants to be intimate or just to detox the body.
“Nowadays, people are affected by the type of food they eat.
“The type of cooking oil, spices and other things are affecting men’s performances in bed, unlike in the past when men were polygamists and satisfied all their wives.
“So, these herbs help one to be strong in bed.”
She claimed there were people with testimonies about her herbs.
“I don’t know what to say about those who are against our natural sex enhancers.
“We understand these natural herbs have no side effects compared to western medicine,” she said.
