Sex-crazed househelp gets just sentence

SITHOLOKUHLE NYATHI, a 20-year-old househelp from Senga suburb in Gweru, will spend the next 15 years in the slammer for using her employer’s eight-year-old son as a sex toy.

This sex-crazed paedophile abused the minor twice.

And get this: She had the audacity to plead with the court for leniency after claiming her insatiable appetite for sex drove her to commit the offence.

What nerve! During trial, prosecutor Sibangani Dube proved that Nyathi shamelessly took advantage of the vulnerable minor and subjected him to unimaginable trauma.

He said not only did she breach the trust bestowed on her by her employers, but she also abused her authority in the most deplorable manner.

But it gets worse.

Nyathi, in her reckless pursuit of pleasure, caused the poor child to contract a sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Nyathi shared a room with the innocent child, who was just trying to navigate the challenges of Grade Two at a local school.

In the first count, Nyathi shamelessly fondled the child’s private parts before engaging in unprotected sexual intercourse with him.

As if that was not enough, she even had the audacity to invite the boy to share blankets with her, only to subject him to further sexual abuse.

This level of depravity is unfathomable.

It was only when the minor visited his alert aunt in Kwekwe on March 30 that the truth came to light. After the boy visited the toilet, the observant aunt noticed urine stained with blood. Without hesitation, she rushed him to a local clinic for medical treatment, where tests confirmed her worst fears — he had contracted an STI.

Upon further investigation, the minor revealed she had been sexually abused by Nyathi. The victim’s aunt promptly informed the boy’s mother, who wasted no time in making a police report.

Nyathi was apprehended and justice was finally served.
