IT’S not the same!

A Bulawayo man claimed that sex is no longer as enjoyable as it used to be since he started using condoms.

Talent Dlamini (31) revealed this in a side interview during a media tour organised by the National Aids Council (Nac) at Infohut, an organisation in Njube which offers computer and life skills training to community members and people in other surrounding areas.

Dlamini is one of the students being taught about the benefits of practising safe sex.

“To be honest with you, condoms have minimised the sensitivity in my sex life. Before using condoms I used to enjoy sex so much. I used to sleep with many girls without protection and I could really feel it,” said Dlamini.

He said the only reason he was using condoms was because he feared being infected.

“At first it was very hard to stick to using condoms but after going through many lessons at Infohut I just had to change my mind. I have learnt that there are so many dangers associated with doing it without protection such as being infected with diseases like HIV and gonorrhoea. I cannot take any chances now because life is precious,” said Dlamini.

One of the teachers at Infohut, Garikai Deredza said it was an honour to be educating youths on life skills.

“We are happy that there are youths who have changed their attitudes on condom use. This will help in curbing the spread of the deadly disease because the primary objective of Infohut is to create an HIV and Aids-free generation using computers as a platform to disseminate vital information on life skills and simultaneously imparting information technology skills to young people. The programme is achieving its purpose as evidenced by more youths who have been empowered to protect themselves against HIV and Aids,” said Deredza.
