Sex-starved woman rapes stepson

A Sex-starved Chiredzi woman (34) allegedly forced her stepson, 16, into a sexual relationship while her husband was away on business resulting in the juvenile contracting a Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).
The woman said she resorted to the desperate measure after going for weeks without enjoying her conjugal rights as her husband was away on business.
She pleaded not guilty to a charge of indecent assault when she appeared before Masvingo Regional Magistrate Judith Zuyu on Thursday.

“I was starved of my conjugal rights and I got tempted. I thought he was above the age of majority and I did not know that I had an STI,” said the woman.
She was remanded out of custody to April 30.

The woman is said to have told the boy that he should be happy to assume his father’s responsibilities.
For the State, Moreblessing Rusere told the court that sometime in November 2013 and in the absence of the juvenile’s father, the woman called the boy to her bedroom under the guise that she was afraid to sleep alone.

The boy is said to have laughed it off before returning to his room.
The court further heard that after some time the woman allegedly stripped naked and proceeded to the juvenile’s bedroom where she found the boy already asleep.

She then allegedly woke him up and ordered him to take off his clothes before forcing him to be intimate with her. The accused is alleged to have repeated the abuse on several occasions.

The matter came to light when the boy fell sick and after his father took him to hospital it was discovered that he had contracted an STI.
The father questioned him and he revealed that he had sexual intercourse with his stepmother several times, the court heard. The matter was reported to the police leading to the woman’s arrest.
