A sex worker was dragged to court after she allegedly stole a cellphone from a client who had hired her for the night.

The suspect, Emma Maunze was not asked to plead when she appeared before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo.

Allegations are that on August 10, the complainant Sidney Rosa 64 hired Maunze for the night at a club in the central business district.

The two proceeded to the rooms inside the club and engaged in sexual activity.

After the act, Maunze went away, and Rosa then discovered that his Samsung Galaxy A101 cellphone was stolen.

He made follow up, but Maunze was gone. Later that night, Rosa saw Maunze sitting and drinking beer with her friends.

Rosa reported the case and positively identified Maunze leading to her arrest.

Nothing was recovered.
