RED hot queen of amapiano, Sha Sha, is expected to add a spark to this year’s edition of Miss Universe Zimbabwe on Saturday at Harare’s Hippodrome Auditorium.
The South Africa-based diva will share the stage with Zim dancehall sensation Enzo Ishall and Tamy Moyo.
Event coordinators confirmed the trio’s inclusion during the sashing ceremony held in Harare this week.
As the preparations gather momentum, the finalists are currently in boot camp.
The winner will walk away with a car sponsored by Style by Minie and a cash prize.
She will represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant scheduled for September 28 in Mexico.
Chairperson of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Colonel Miniyothabo Baloyi-Chiwenga, said it was essential for the winner to show that Zimbabwe is a beautiful country.
“The girls that are going to represent us are the ambassadors of Zimbabwe who will make the world believe that despite the negative publicity Zimbabwe has, Zimbabwe is beautiful, so it’s important to us.
“We are very proud of the event, it’s a milestone for us because we know that the finals are on Saturday.
“I would like to wish those in boot camp the best, I hope you all behave well and represent us well.
“Congratulations to everyone, we all know it’s a competition and there is one winner.
“As we move towards the final, it may get difficult but show yourself for who you are and be the Zimbabwean you are.
“Some of you are coming from different countries, I hope that you will be able to merge and form networks that will be useful to us,” she said.
Last year’s winner was Brooke Bruk-Jackson, who represented the country at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador.
She made it into the top 10 Miss Universe 2023 Voice for Change Silver finalists.
