Shadow sells out peeping Tom

A PEEPING Tom has been arrested after he was allegedly caught watching a woman taking a bath through a crack on a bathroom door. Moleen Muchipo, 27, of Bulawayo’s Iminyela suburb, saw Sidanisile Nhlaya’s shadow as she took a bath at about 10PM on Wednesday and thought that it was her husband who had arrived home from work.

Muchipo said she was surprised when upon finishing, she found her husband holding Nhlaya, 20, by the scruff of the neck after he caught him ogling her.

Nhlaya, the court heard, was denying peeping through the door opening.

Western Commonage Magistrate Temba Chimiso was surprised to see Nhlaya in court saying that it was not his first time to appear in court.

“You’re back again! This isn’t your first time here, if I’m not mistaken this might be your fourth time. I doubt if that’s your real name you’re using. You will be remanded in custody while we enjoy Easter, you aren’t repentant,” said Chimiso as he remanded Nhlaya in custody to April 13.

Prosecuting Nomzamo Ndlovu told the court that on Wednesday at around 10PM, Muchipo was in the bathroom taking a bath when she saw Nhlaya’s shadow and thought it was her husband.

“He was caught by Muchipo’s husband who arrived home from work. He immediately dragged Nhlaya to Western Commonage police station where he was arrested”.
