The Shamva community paid its last respects to Maria Ndoro, who died after a long battle with lung cancer.
She was 86.
She is the mother of Simba ‘Buju’ Ndoro, the president of Simba Bhora, who has single-handedly built Wadzanai Stadium from nothing.

He had hoped to see his mother in the picture on the day his team hosts a Castle Lager Premiership fixture and the club is currently on course to become the first to bring PSL to the mining town.
However, neither of his parents will witness this historical day as his father died decades ago, and his mother passed away last week.
Her burial was attended by some of the town’s businesspeople who came to pay their respects as well as Brighton ‘Punjab’ Ushendibaba and Biri Shereni.
Simba told H-Metro that he felt the love from everyone who showed up.
“It’s never easy to bury your mother because of the sacrifices and things she went through in trying to make the world a better place
“It hurts that my parents will not be there when Wadzanai starts to host PSL fixtures next month, and the pain is just unbearable,” said Ndoro.
