A KUWADZANA woman took her daughter-in-law to court accusing her of abusing and disturbing her peace.
Applying for a protection order, Jesima Mutiza told the court that her daughter-in-law, Erica Chigwaza, insults her by accusing her of committing incest with her son.
Magistrate Sharon Mashavire granted the application.
“She insults me, accusing me of sleeping with my son. She also calls me a witch.
“She must leave my house today or tomorrow. I do not want her in my house because she does not see me as a mother,” said Mutiza.
Chigwaza denied the allegations.
“I have never insulted her and I do not remember calling her a witch.
“I only shared my dream with her where I dreamt of a tree being cut down,” she said.
“I do not oppose vacating her house, but where will I go with five children because as we speak, I don’t even know where my husband is.”
Magistrate Mashavire told Chigwaza to move out of her comfort zone and leave her mother-in-law’s house before 4pm today.
“Move out of your comfort zone and find a way.
“Having all those children comes with responsibility and repercussions,” said the magistrate.
