YOUTH empowerment firebrand Noxolo Dube is bringing big energy to Bulawayo with the She Elevates Forum, set for February 21, a high impact gathering aimed at sharpening the leadership and money making muscles of young girls.
The forum falls under JB Dondolo’s I-Elevate Project Lydia, founded by Lumbie Mlambo in honour of her late mother. The mission is simple but serious. Structured empowerment, real mentorship and skills that move girls from inspiration to action.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dube said She Elevates is not about feel good speeches and selfies.
“This platform is rooted in compassion, service and intentional upliftment. Empowerment must be structured and sustainable, not occasional,” she said.
The forum will push girls to see themselves as leaders, entrepreneurs and contributors to national development, with a special focus on tourism, innovation and economic participation. As Zimbabwe leans harder on youth driven growth, organisers say young women cannot afford to sit on the sidelines.
Dube’s passion is grounded in years of grassroots work through The Noble Performing Arts Organisation and ERGY Africa, where she has worked in rural and under-served communities delivering education support, vocational training and entrepreneurship mentorship.
The She Elevates Forum will feature speakers from climate advocacy, philanthropy, media, entrepreneurship and mental health, offering practical tools and powerful networks for growth.
Dube, who is also contesting for the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe crown, says empowering young women is directly linked to tourism and cultural promotion.
“Strong women build strong communities, and strong communities grow tourism,” she said.
The forum runs from 1pm to 3pm at Nexus Rooftop and is expected to draw young women, entrepreneurs and community leaders ready to elevate.
