‘She snatched my boyfriend’

A HARARE woman says she feels betrayed by a friend who snatched her boyfriend.

Rutendo Gomezi applied for a peace order against Millicent Mujayi, claiming that her erstwhile friend was disturbing her peace.

The two former friends fell out over Millicent’s boyfriend.

However, Rutendo failed to provide sufficient evidence in court and her application was dismissed by magistrate Tamara Chibindi.

Rutendo told the court that she had now had enough of her ex-friend.

“She disturbs my peace on a daily basis at my workplace, and I don’t know why.

“I don’t remember having an altercation with Millicent before.

“She just went quiet and from there I just deleted her contact from my phone,” she said.

Millicent disputed Rutendo’s submissions.

“I never knew Rutendo would come and lie in court.

“She knows what happened since the day I went quiet on her.

“She snatched my boyfriend.

“Rutendo was like a sister to me, but she betrayed me. Zvakaoma shamwari yako kukutorera mukomana.

“I never went to her workplace to harass her, she is lying,” Millicent said.
