A 25-YEAR-OLD woman appeared in court after she allegedly performed oral sexual acts on a five-year-old boy, who is an ECD pupil at a Bulawayo school.
Veronica Sibanda from Mzilikazi appeared before Bulawayo Regional Magistrate Mark Dzira, who remanded her in custody until 5 September for further investigations. She pleaded not guilty to the charges against her.
Prosecutor Jethro Mada informed the court that the incident occurred on 9 August 2025, at around 2pm.
The minor was left at his brother’s place. When the brother went out, he left the boy with Sibanda.
Sibanda, the court heard, kissed the boy on the cheek before removing his trousers and underwear to knee level. She started caressing Moyo’s testicles and later performed oral sex on him.
When the brother returned home, the boy told him what had happened, leading the brother to make a report to the police, which resulted in Sibanda’s arrest.
