HIP-HOP star Shone, who grabbed headlines as part of Coldplay’s world tour, is back home.

The artist, who played before 100 000 fans at a record-breaking show in India as part of the supporting act of the British band, will now have to contend with playing before far smaller crowds.

His first show back home is on tomorrow when he performs at the NashTV Valentine Party Special at Pakare Paye Theatre in Norton.

Shone will share the stage with NishaTs, Saintfloew, Ninethy6, Madedido and Khonangele.

Shone has been in the headlines as part of Coldplay’s Music of the Sphere Tour.

Billboard says Coldplay has grossed more than US$1,14 billion on the Music of the Spheres World Tour.

Rough estimates have suggested that Coldplay’s Indian leg of the tour generated about US$1 billion in the concert economy.

Shone became the first Zimbabwean artist to play before a combined audience of 223 000 fans at two shows, spread over two nights, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India, on January 25 and 26.
