SHOP LIFTING QUARTET BUSTED

A SHOP lifting syndicate was busted after allegedly stealing six Nivea lotions and multiple bottles of alcohol worth US$700 from two different shops.

Maria Kativhu, Paidamoyo Mupamba, Tariro Manhimbe and Olinda Rutendo Chadoka appeared before Harare magistrate Lynn Chizhou and were remanded in custody.

They will be considered for bail today.

One incident occurred at the Spar Athenities Supermarket in Fife Avenue where Chadoka and Kativhu were caught on CCTV stealing the Nivea lotions.

The lotions were found hidden in Chadoka’s jacket.

The second incident occurred on February 28 at Spar Hatfield where the quartet and their accomplices stole 12 Jameson IPA whiskeys and eight Caskmate Jameson Whiskeys.
