Shudufhadzo joins Miss SA 2026 judging panel

Former Miss South Africa and mental health activist Shudufhadzo Musida has been announced as one of the judges for the Miss South Africa 2026 Top 24 semi-finalists. The exciting announcement was made on the Miss South Africa official Instagram page, where the organisation welcomed her to this year’s judging panel.

Shudufhadzo Musida, who proudly represented South Africa on the international stage during her reign, will now help choose the women who could become the next Miss South Africa. Her experience, education and passion for making a difference are expected to play an important role during the judging process.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the Miss South Africa official page wrote:

“From representing South Africa on the global stage to shaping conversations that drive meaningful change, With degrees in PPE, International Relations and a STEM-designated MPA in International Finance from Columbia University. @shudufhadzomusida joins the Miss South Africa judging panel, she evaluates whether these woman can translate policy into practice. Be there as she helps select the woman who will champion a New Era for Miss South Africa.”

The Miss South Africa 2026 semi-finalist phase is currently underway. The Top 24 semi-finalists were officially announced on June 23, 2026. Meanwhile, the public can still vote for their favourite contestants, with voting remaining open until July 6, 2026.

Musida is not the only respected professional on this year’s judging panel. She will be joined by Dr Aisha R. Pandor, the Co-Founder of home and care services platform SweepSouth, as well as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pandora Health.

Another member of the panel is Colleen Larsen, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Business Engage. Together, the three judges bring experience from different industries, including business, leadership, education and social impact.

According to Miss South Africa, the judging panel has an important responsibility in selecting women who have the potential to make a positive difference in society.

The organisation explained: “The judging panel, comprising a diverse range of expertise, is instrumental in identifying South Africa’s next generation of impactful leaders through the Miss South Africa platform.” – OK
