“It is mostly the private sector which bribes public officials in order to have their processes done quickly as well as to skip some administrative hurdles,” he said.
“Reputational image is very essential to any business entity, thus as directors gathered here you should ensure top level commitment to protect the image of your companies,” Mr Rossouw said.
He added that companies should ensure that their ethics disallowed bribes in their business.
He said corruption was affecting foreign investment in Africa.
“Without this culture (of corruption), Africa would not have been starved of Foreign Direct Investment as the current situation,” he said. — New Ziana.
