KEEGAN Shutt keeps setting the pace in Zimbabwean amateur golf, staying top of the Zimbabwe Golf Association (ZGA) Order of Merit and climbing three places in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR).
With 291 points from seven tournaments, Shutt holds a five-point lead over Tanaka Chatora, who is second on 286.
He also remains the highest-ranked Zimbabwean on the WAGR, now 369th after rising from 372nd.

Munesu Chimhini moved from 649th to 598th, while Vincent Chidambazina slipped from 626th to 647th.
Shutt’s scorecard tells the story of his dominance. In July, he earned 46 points at the Zimbabwe Amateur Championship, a 72-hole national grand major won by Nathan Van Rooyen. Back in March, he produced a remarkable hat-trick of victories, winning the Julius Robinson Golf Tournament at Wingate Park Golf Club, the Manicaland Amateur at Hillside Golf Club, and the Matabeleland Amateur at Bulawayo Country Club. Those three wins alone yielded 55, 50 and 52 points.
He added 27 points at the Dugmore Trophy, 13 at the Chapman Grandslam, and 48 at the Region V Championship to underline his consistency.
Chatora has also shown staying power. His 286 points come from steady returns, including 25 at the Zimbabwe Amateur, 50 at the Zimbabwe Matchplay, 31 at the Mawegu Amateur, 26 at the Matabeleland Amateur, 58 at the Masvingo Amateur, and 32 each from the Manicaland Amateur, the Dugmore Trophy and the Chapman Grandslam.
Kelvin Muchenje sits third on 257 points, followed by Elton Zulu on 250 and Darlington Chikanyambidze on 244.
Shijie Li (238), Michael Wallace (219), Chimhini (209), Shephard Chiwaya (197) and Munyaradzi Sithole (151) complete the top 10.
Shutt’s surge in both the ZGA Order of Merit and the WAGR confirms his rising stature and steady excellence in Zimbabwean golf.
