Sibanda involved in accident

FORMER Soccer Star of the Year Charles Sibanda is lucky to be alive after he was involved in a road traffic accident around midnight yesterday. Sibanda, a How Mine player who crossed the floor from Highlanders this season, sustained injuries on his shoulder and is admitted at Mpilo Central Hospital in Ward A2.

It is believed the player lost control of his vehicle along Nketa Drive as he was on his way home. His coach Luke Masomere visited him in hospital this morning. “It’s not a bad injury although he is clearly in pain,” said Masomere.

“The mishap comes at a time when he had just picked up form and we were looking forward to his industry on the field as we resume our league matches this weekend,” said Masomere. — Sportszone.
