SUNGURA maestro Alick Macheso, Jah Prayzah and Martin Sibanda will be the highlights of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) festivities with a show lined up for May 2.
The concert taking place on the last day of the fair at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre is being organised by Harare promoter, Chipaz Promotions who are also hosting the Cassper Nyovest show this weekend.
Patson “Chipaz” Chimbodza, director of the promotions company said he was hosting the event to give fans in Bulawayo an opportunity to experience world class entertainment.
“In Harare we usually hold such shows where we bring two or more big artistes onto one stage. I felt that music fans outside Harare needed such shows and what better time to do this than at the trade fair,” Chipaz said.
He said no advance tickets would be sold as he feared fraudsters might take advantage, meaning all tickets would be sold on the day of the show at the gates.
Jah Prayzah who is a not new to Bulawayo audiences said he would dish out songs from his forthcoming album Jerusarema.
“I always dish out something new every time and fans should expect nothing but the best,” Jah Prayzah said.
Macheso’s manager William Tsandukwa said revellers should expect a top-notch performance.
“People from Bulawayo should expect new things from Macheso as he has been working on certain projects. He’s also planning to have more shows there to compensate for his silence,” Tsandukwa said.
A fashion show organised by ZITF will be introduced this year for fashion lovers. Twenty models will take to the ramp to exhibit latest fashion trends from local designers.
Local nightspots will also be cashing in on the trade fair with a series of activities lined up.
