AFTER eight years of hiding, a man accused of killing his sister finally faced justice when he appeared in court Tuesday
Silindi Ncube (38) stood before West Commonage Magistrate Melinda Mufungidza, where he was formally charged with murder.
The brief hearing drew a tense crowd as Ncube, who has been the subject of a long-running manhunt, calmly listened while the magistrate remanded him in custody to 26 September.
Mufungidza told Ncube to seek bail at the High Court. He was not asked to plead to the charge.
Ncube’s capture has reignited emotions in Old Magwegwe, where the murder took place nearly a decade ago.
Last Friday, he was dramatically arrested after residents spotted him sitting outside the very house where the chilling crime happened.
The community, which has carried the weight of the tragedy for years, is now watching closely as the wheels of justice finally turn.
