POLICE in Manicaland are investigating an attempted murder case of a 43-year-old-man from Mayo Village in Makoni District who was stabbed by his brother’s sons following a misunderstanding last Friday.

Provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the incident, saying Bonface Madhume, who is now battling for life at Rusape General Hospital, was stabbed by Victor and Brighton Madhume using unknown objects after an altercation when some cattle destroyed the latter’s bricks.

The pair left their uncle for dead following the attack before he was ferried to hospital.

Insp Chananda urged the public to resolve their differences amicably and avoid resorting to violence as this may result in injuries or loss of life.
