FOR the umpteenth time, the Glen View Area 8 Home Industry Complex, along Willowvale Road in Harare, has been engulfed in flames.

The fire broke out on Saturday night, resulting in significant damage.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.

The fire resulted in the destruction of property worth thousands of dollars, including newly manufactured chairs, beds, kitchen cupboards, lounge suites, tables and wardrobes.

Peter Zandiya, one of those who run business at the complex, was in tears as he narrated his story.

“I started my business here three years ago and I was affected by the fire that burnt this place last year.

“This year, when I thought I was making a breakthrough and my business was booming then another fire broke out destroying all the household property that I had made for sale,” he said.

The Glen View Area 8 Home Industry Complex has been affected by fire a number of times, sending social media into hysteria with a number of conspiracy theories.

The fire started on Saturday night.

Yesterday morning people were busy removing property from the burning complex while scores of residents from the neighbourhood were watching while taking photos and videos.
