Sikhala appeared before a Mutare Magistrate on Wednesday.
He is facing two more charges of entering a protected area (the Chiadzwa diamond fields) and illegally dealing in diamonds. It is alleged that Sikhala went to Chiadzwa where he gave about US$2 700 to one of the two men he later kidnapped. Sikhala then allegedly forcibly took the two to Harare from Chiadzwa after a misunderstanding.
A police report was made leading to his arrest. – CR.
