WHAT started off as a freestyle clash between Zimdancehall artistes Silent Killer and Blot has escalated into a bitter feud that culminated in off-stage drama at the recent Harare Cup Clash.
The enigmatic Silent Killer is now sensationally alleging that Blot’s manager, David “Diva” Shilline, took a dump in his manager’s car to spite him.
So heated has the beef between the two camps become that, in addition to trading allegations of witchcraft, the confrontations have threatened to become physical.
“I do not hold grudges with anyone, including those who hate me, but I am surprised that instead of coming to clash with me on stage, they (Blot and his manager) were busy defecating in my manager’s car,” charged Silent Killer (born Jimmy Mudereri).
“I have never visited a traditional or spiritual healer to advance my music career. I am natural all the way.”
While Silent Killer’s manager Obvious “Obvie” Gurure confirmed the incident, he is unsure of who did it.
“Yes, it is true that human waste was found in our car. I personally cannot pinpoint anyone,” said Obvie.
“This happened when we had gone on stage for our scheduled slot, and we only discovered the human waste in our car after our set.
“I do not know the motive behind the move, but some say they are rituals of some sort,” he continued.
According to the unamused chanter’s manager, Diva, of Royal Empire Records, had access to the car after “persuading” one of their team members, Shattawalle, to surrender the car keys to him.
“We used two cars on the day in question. Silent Killer had his own car and I had the other one. However, he spent the greater part of the day in my car for errands we did on the day.
“Blot’s manager got into our car to City Sports and we parked both cars side by side. During our set, Blot’s manager came and asked for the car keys from one of our guys under the pretext that he wanted to go and ferry his artiste (Blot),” explained Obvie.
It was during this time that Diva allegedly left the smelly surprise in the vehicle.
Upon their return, the team was alerted of the disturbing incident by the foul smell that had enveloped the vehicle.
“Diva only brought the car keys back after our set. However, that is when we discovered that someone had defecated in one of our vehicles. They had used it as a toilet! We tried to investigate who was responsible since we had travelled as a team,” continued Obvie.
Part of their investigations, he said, pointed to Diva.
“I cannot say for a fact that Blot’s manager was responsible, but our investigations are pointing to that,” he said.
“Remember, we had two cars. There was someone in Silent Killer’s car all the time and he is the one who told us that he first witnessed Diva urinating in the car and he confronted him.
“He did not know who he (Diva) was and he only backed down when he showed him the car keys, claiming ownership.
“His descriptions of the guy matched Diva. Besides, he is the one who had the car keys when we were on stage. Silent Killer then told me that it was Blot’s manager who had been spotted doing the ‘unholy’ act.”
Blot, whose real name is Takura Chiwoniso, is not taking the accusations lightly.
“My lawyers have asked me not to respond to Silent Killer’s public allegations that my manager, Diva, defecated in one of his cars. Legal action is following soon over that issue,” said Blot.
“I am not afraid of any stage or anyone since birth; I only fear God. I have overcome challenges in my life, and I do not consider him (Silent Killer) to be a threat to my music career,” said the chanter.
“I was born to silence noisemakers, and I will do just that with him. I am ready to clash with him.”
When contacted by The Sunday Mail Entertainment, Diva refused to comment, insisting that the response made by his artiste, Blot, was enough.
“The comment I gave you was not mine; it was from the artiste (Blot). I simply follow his instructions. He is currently busy in the studio working on his new album and preparing for its launch,” he said.
But it appears Blot developed cold feet during the Harare Cup Clash.
He was expected to join Silent Killer on stage but eventually failed to do so.
Prior to the show, the duo clashed on the popular Star FM’s “Zimdancehall Overdrive”, hosted by Templeman.
The clash seemed to turn decidedly personal.
“We thought the clash was finally going to happen at City Sports, as we had agreed with the promoter,” said Silent Killer’s manager.
“So, when we went on stage, we thought Blot was going to follow. We then played the agreed songs before his expected arrival but he was a no-show.
“My artiste only played a few tracks than expected because he had reserved some ammunition for his rival.”
Their next potential confrontation is anticipated in December at a concert to be held in Mbare.
