Silver Fox’s team finally win

Amidu’s Black Leopards yesterday.
Mugeyi had been still searching for his first win since taking over as head coach of Chippa following his move from Ajax Cape Town where he was an assistant coach.

Goals by Masibusane Zongo, Welcome Qalanto and Petrus Ngebo gave Chippa United a stress-relieving 3-1 victory over Black Leopards at the Philippi Stadium.

David Zulu’s consolation goal was all the away side could celebrate in the match. Zongo had the Leopards defence in trouble as early as the seventh minute when he created space outside the box and had some time to correctly place his shot, but he ended up shooting over.

Leopards, however, should have taken the lead in the 16th minute, but they messed up a terrible one-on-one situation after Chippa’s failed offside trap. Joshua Obaje cut inside from the right flank, but could only blast his low right-footed shot across the face of goal.
