AMBITIOUS Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Simba Bhora have said renovations on their Wadzanai Stadium are progressing well with their bucket seats expected to be delivered next week.
Last year, Simba Bhora were forced to play their home games away from home in their maiden season in the topflight league as Wadzanai Stadium was deemed not fit to host topflight action.
The stadium in Shamva is being revamped to a 10 000-seater facility, with the club leadership hoping it will meet PSL standards.
Club administrator Jeremiah Kasawaya was confident that work on their facility will be concluded soon.
“Right now, we are 90 % complete in terms of the work on the stadium. We are expecting the delivery of bucket seats on February 6.
“They will be installed at the VVIP and VIP sections first and thereafter we move to the rest of the ground.
” Across the VIP we are creating a terrace which is almost 70% complete ,” said Kasawaya.
He also revealed that the club was done with their business in the player transfer market.
“We are done with the signing of players.
“To accommodate those who came in, we did not renew the contracts of players who were not active last season.
“We only retained those who were playing matches,” said Kasawaya. – @innocentskizoe.
