Simba Bhora versus Highlanders match abandoned

Sports Reporter

The quarter final tie of the Chibuku Super Cup between hosts Simba Bhora and Highlanders was abandoned in Shamva in the second half after a lengthy stoppage with the visitors contesting a decision by the referee to award the hosts a penalty.

Video replays indicated the foul was committed at the edge of the box, which prompted Highlanders to protest. This means a decision will likely be made by the PSL. The match was still 0-0. When the two teams clashed in a league match in Shamva which Highlanders lost 2-1, the Bulawayo side complained of what they termed questionable refereeing.
